Dear Friends,
As we welcome spring, we are delighted to share with you our latest update about our work and our most relevant forthcoming events and activities from now until the summer.
On Women's Day, which the world commemorates every year on 8 March, our Secretary General Barbara Hintermann called for a sustained effort to promote an ethical leadership that strongly advocates gender equality. ‘Women's Day is not just relevant once a year,’ she said, ‘we need a 365-day commitment to women's participation in the political, economic and social arenas.’ Read her full statement here.
A collaborative effort in the field of migration and integration among relevant stakeholders in Geneva has started to bear fruit. It was launched recently by Initiatives of Change Switzerland, the Hospice général and the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) with the aim of building trust and exploring ways of effective collaboration. A series of four conferences on these topics has just been launched. Click here to see the full programme and to register.
The whole Caux Forum Team, composed of more than 90 volunteers and staff members from all over the world, has been working hard over the past few months to set the scene for the Caux Forum 2018. About 1,500 participants from civil society, government and business will meet over the summer in the beautiful Caux Palace. As is the case every year, a real diversity of ages, genders, cultures, sectors and beliefs, will come together with the aspiration of building bridges across cultural, social and ethnic divides. Registrations for our six main events, as well as for the Opening Ceremony and the Open House Day, are now open. Don’t miss your opportunity to be part of this experience.
We thank you for your continued support and would be grateful if you could share the relevant information about our activities in Switzerland with your networks. Finally, we look forward to seeing you soon at one of our events.
Wishing you a lovely spring,
Your IofC Switzerland Staff
